My Review / Thoughts

“You won’t know wether something is achievable unless you try” -If We Ever Meet Again

This book was a nice love story until the end. Although it had a sad/tragic ending I was satisfied that it ended with closure. I would be fine if there wasn’t another book. The non classic end was what made this book unique. I do wish that the prologue didn’t exist though. I recommend skipping over it.

I liked the banter between Farrah and Blake in the first half of the book. It was gradual and I liked that Farrah did not immediately like Blake upon coming to FEA.

I liked Blake until he got mad at Farrah for kissing someone else when he slept with someone, when they weren’t dating at the time. The double standard rubbed me the wrong way, but I suppose the author was trying to portray a protective boyfriend.

The situation with Chloe was a shocker and an interesting twist in the story. Overall, this book should have been a stand-alone!

Summary of the Book

And the last thing they ever expected was each other. She’s an aspiring interior designer who dreams of falling in love. He’s an ex-football star who thinks love is a con. She’s a virgin, and he doesn’t do virgins. He’s cocky, infuriating, and not her type. She wants the fairytale. He wants freedom.

Blake and Farrah shouldn’t have fallen for each other the way they did: totally, completely, and irrevocably. Because they’re studying abroad in Shanghai, and they only have one year. Because forces at home threaten to rip them apart, even if they don’t know it yet.

And because, eventually, they must face the most heartbreaking lesson they’ll ever learn:  sometimes, even the greatest love can’t conquer all.
